Jio 5G Download Fastest: Ookla Report

Reliance Jio has once again outperformed its competitors in 5G download speed. Ac-cording to Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data, Jio’s average 5G download speed was recorded at 258.54 Mbps, while Airtel secured the second position with 205.1 Mbps. Ookla collected this data from across the country between July and December 2024.

Jio has also earned the title of the fastest mobile network with 5G in India, emerging as the top operator in mobile speed. Jio’s average download speed was recorded at 158.63 Mbps, whereas Airtel’s speed was nearly two-thirds of Jio’s, at around 100.67 Mbps. Vodafone Idea lagged behind in third place with a speed of 21.6 Mbps.

During this period, Jio recorded the highest 5G availability across the country, meaning its network had the widest reach.
